The Evinrude E-TEC V6 150 weighs 39 kg less than a comparable 4-stroke. Even more amazing: The competitive 4-stroke 150 weighs nearly the same as the Evinrude E-TEC 250. Why are other engines so fat? Here's an abbreviated list: belts, camshafts, valves, timing chains, oil pumps. These are all things you won't find in an E-TEC, but other 4-stroke engines still have to lug around. We got rid of them. In retutn, you get better acceleration, more nimble boat handling, and absolutely amazing top speeds. Enjoy.
